When the Real Worry Isn't About the Numbers
People come to me with financial questions every day. The question they ask out loud is rarely the question they're actually asking.

People come to me with financial questions every day. But the question they ask out loud is rarely the question they're actually asking.
"Do I have enough?" usually means: Will I run out of money? Will I become a burden to someone else? Will I lose the life I've spent decades building?
"Is my portfolio okay?" usually means: Am I going to be blindsided by something I didn't see coming?
"Should I be worried about the market?" usually means: I'm already worried, and I need someone to either confirm it or talk me down.
What years of these conversations taught me
The anxiety rarely comes from not having enough. More often it comes from not knowing where you stand, and those are two very different problems with two very different fixes.
Someone with a genuinely solid plan can feel deeply uncertain if nobody has ever explained it clearly, stress-tested it in front of them, or laid it out in a way that makes sense. Meanwhile, someone with real gaps can feel calm, not because everything is fine, but because they understand their situation and have a plan for it.
Confidence in retirement isn't about having a perfect portfolio. It's about clarity: knowing how your accounts, your taxes, and your goals map against the real world, in numbers you've actually seen.
If you've been carrying a version of "Am I okay?"
Even in the back of your mind, that's exactly the conversation our planning process exists for. Two meetings, a written plan, and an honest answer. If the answer is "you're fine without us," you'll hear that too.
